The frame for a bag or case has at least one handle and/or closing part (6) mounted on the frame web and provided with at least one recess (7). At least one through opening (9) is provided in the web (2) whilst at least one retaining element (10) is designed to engage through this opening and engage behind the web (2) on its side remote from the handle and/or closing part (6) and into the recess (7) of the handle and/or closing part. The retaining element is pref fixed in force locking engagement in the recess which can be cylindrical. USE/ADVANTAGE - The customer's choice of closing and/or handle part can be fitted once the bag has been made.
