Press for laminates and boards - has sectional heating plates with separate heating control

The boards, laminates etc. are prepared by passing through a continuous flow press in which the temp. is progressively reduced from front to back by controlling the heat flow to the separate heating sections (3). The heaters are fed with heating fluid at controlled temp. and with controlled flow-rates. Each type of board has a programmed temp. profile. The heaters, over- and under the boards, transfer the heat via rolling elements and a moving pair of steel bands. With a set temp. for the heating fluid only the separate flow-rates need be controlled. ADVANTAGE - Simple process control; min. of control instruments; simple to program for different boards.
