The electrical switch assembly has a coupling unit to connect the spindle (2) of the switch to an actuator spindle (3), that may not be in precise alignment. Each spindle engages with a coupling section (5,6) that expand into discs (7,8) separated by a central disc (9). The one coupling section (7) has radial slots to receive the heads (11) of a pair of screws (13,14). The two coupling sections and the centre plate can be adjusted to allow spindle engagement to occur and the screws lock the assembly together. ADVANTAGE - Allows coupling of misaligned spindles.
