PURPOSE:To prevent useless power from being consumed by a demodulator for a period not needing demodulation by allowing a operation stop control means to stop the operation of the digital demodulator when a level of a digital reception signal is lowered to power consumption level or below. CONSTITUTION:When no radio transmission signal comes or a receiver is resident at the outside of a radio zone even when the radio transmission signal comes or the reception power is too low due to the effect of the quality deterioration in the radio transmission line, a switch decision signal CS of an L level is outputted from a level decision circuit 20, a switch 22 is nonconductive and the clock CLK fed to the demodulator 12 is interrupted. Thus, the demodulator is in nonoperating state and the power consumption is made zero. |
