PURPOSE:To obtain the toner of developing electrostatic charge images which is improved in moisture resistance by subjecting a polymerizable monomer to emulsionpolymn. to form fine particles and applying compressive force and friction force to the fine particles and hydrophobic silica to be mixed at a specific ration, thereby fixing the hydrophobic silica onto the surface of the fine particles. CONSTITUTION:The polymerizable monomer is subjected to the emulsion polymn. in the copresence of a coloring agent to form the fine particles and 0.1 to 3 pts. wt. hydrophobic silica is mixed with 100 pts. wt. fine particle. The compres sive force and friction force are applied to the fine particles and the hydrophobic silica to fix he hydrophobic silica to the surface of the fine particles. The emulsi fier exposed on the surface of the fine particles is subjected to surface reforming and is coated with the hydrophobic silica in such a manner and, therefore, the novel toner for developing the electrostatic charge images which is good in the moisture resistance, flowability and preservable property and is free from toner splashing and ground fogging is obtd. |
