A harvesting machine, partic. for green fodder, comprises a feed screw which supplies material to a conveyor belt leading to a prepn. unit. The conveyor belt has a number of elastic brushes. Prepd. fodder is lowered onto a conveyor belt above which is a buffer area and at the end of which is a metering roll supplying a second preparation unit. Fully prepd. fodder is deposited on the ground in mat form by a further conveyor. USE/ADVANTAGE - The machine is used, partic. for harvesting green fodder and enables harvesting time to be reduced with less energy usage.
