The portable magazine for holding and discharging an especially elastomeric length of material unrolled from a rotary winder-drum has a frame (11) which has three parallel struts (26) standing on a horizontal base (13). A winder-drum is pivot mounted on each two adjacent struts (26) with the axles of the two drum (34) staggered in position. Under each of the two winder-drum (34) is a following winder-drum (45) with two deflector rollers (44) facing the ends of the frame (11) and on vertical planes over one another. One end of each follower (43) is positioned on the winder drum (34), while the other end is positioned on the following winder drum (45). USE/ADVANTAGE - The compact magazine prepares the material for the production machine, and changes and conveyors the empty and full reels.
