The gutter cleaning device has a brush roller (16). This is fixed on an automatically driven shaft (18) which is supported guided on the outer free longitudinal edge (12) of the gutter (10). The shaft is connected directly or indirectly to the handle (26) which is operated from the ground. The roller can be enclosed section wise by an adjustable holder (40) for picking up the dirt.
