PURPOSE: To detect frame synchronization in a simple method by forming each line of the first kind of (p) bit line synchronizing words and each frame of the second kind of (n) bit frame synchronizing words, and horizontally shifting the second kind of words from the first kind of words only by a decided distance. CONSTITUTION: It is assumed that a frame is received at time t1 at first. Two windows from time t2, that is, a first window F1 for confirming line words and a second window F2 searching frame words are formed, and the window F2 is separated from the window F1 only by a value A. Thereafter, a word working vertically after a candidate word discovered at time t2 in the window F1 is considered at time t3. When it is a wrong word, the search is continued until time t4 when the candidate words is found. Windows F'1 and F'2 are formed for line synchronizing words and frame synchronizing words, and line synchronizing words suited to a condition are found again, and line synchronization is established and held. |
