PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of disorder of a toner image when a body to be developed is separated from an electrostatic latent image carrier by arranging a means for destaticizing the body to be developed on an optional part in a range from the sticking part of the carrier to the body to be developed up to its separating part. CONSTITUTION:The means for discharging electricity from the body 502 to be developed, e.g. an AC corona charger 109a, is arranged on an optional part in the range from the sticking part of the electrostatic latent image carrier 501 to the body 502 up to its separated part. At the time of separating the body 502 on which a toner image is formed from the carrier 501 after developing the body 502, the body 502 is destaticized by the AC corona charger 109a. Thereby the potential of an air layer is increased in accordance with the reduction of an air layer between the body 502 and the carrier 501 and the generation of air discharge can be prevented. Thus a toner image formed on the body 502 to be developed can be prevented from being dispersed or moved at the time of separating the carrier 501 from the body 502. |
