The A/D conversion of current or voltages is based on a multi-integration principle. In the first step, a charge storage is charged by a measuring current for a preset, constant time period, while in a second step, a constant reference current or voltage is connected. The reference current etc. is oppositely polarised and applied up to attainment of a preset voltage threshold with a count of the necessary time. This process is several times repeated. After the last measuring of the counted total value, it is converted by a computor into a digital result value, proportional to the measured current according to a formula related to the system dependent constant and a counter value of a low measuring. USE/ADVANTAGE - For digital current, voltage, and resistance measuring. Improved linearity, and continuous recording of input current.
