摘要	The air suspension has an airbag unit (11) containing the gas spring and mounted between a load support plate (12) and a piston mounting (13) which pushes into the gas spring as the load increases. The walls of the air-bag roll over the edge of the piston for the suspension movement. The displacement of the gas spring is monitored by conducting coils (14) embedded in the walls of the air-bag. The coils are formed by conducting tracks either wound in a spiral pattern, or a meandering pattern, with connectors at suitable sites. A simple design gas a conducting coil wound around a monofilament wwhich is subsequently embedded into the air-bag. ADVANTAGE - Simple construction; no external sensor for height control; light-weight.
