The printing-plate prodn. machine has a plate table (1) with a copying station (2) and an illumination system. The station accommodates uncopied film, pref. in a cassette (5), and one or more discharge cassettes (6) for copied films. The film to be copied onto a blank printing plate (3) is transferred by a moving suction frame (7) from the first cassette onto the blank on the table, and after illumination to one of the discharge cassettes. Several such frames are provided, mounted at intervals equal to the distance between the first cassette and the table on an indexing rotary support (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple, low cost, printing plate mfr with high rate of output, and gentle handling.
