Rain-water settling tank - has floating wall to retain material floating on water surface

The rain-water drainage system has a settling tank (1) with an inlet pipe (9) and a normal outflow pipe (11). In the event of a heavy rainstorm when the flow of water is too great for the normal outflow the water level (15) rises and excess water flows over the wall (5) into the overflow pipe (7). A floating wall (30) is fitted inside the tank (1) and is attached to the tank cover by a parallelogram linkage (23,25) so that the wall (30) is always held in an upright position. This floating wall (30) prevents any matter floating on the surface of the water from flowing into the overflow pipe (7). USE - Rainwater drainage.
