A dispersing agent (A) for solid particles in an organic liq. has compsn. (I) X-CO-NR1-Y-NR2-CO-X + Z + Q (where X-CO is the residue of a polyester chain (B) having a molar mass of at least 1700, from a 16-22 (pref. 18) C hydroxy carboxylic acid. -NR-Y-NR2- is the residue of a mono or polyamide with up to 12 -NH- bonds, which is amino terminated both ends and where R1, R2 = -H or up to 20C alk(en)yl Z = salt of 8-18C carboxylic acid and a diamine NHR3-T-NH2 (where T = 2-12C alk(en)ylene and opt. contg. one or more -O- or -N-bridges. R3 = -H or up to 20C alk(en)yl) and Z has molar mass 0.2-12% of (A)'s Q = 8-18C carboxylic acid or a diamine NHR3-T-NH2). The molar mass of the polyesteramide (P) XCONR3-Y-NR2COX is 84.1-98.2 (pref. 87-93)% of the total molar mass of (A)opt. (P) has formula (II) (where R=17C aliphatic radical. a = 4-7, b = 8-11, x = 8-68).
