Cosmetic preparations in powdered or granular form are dispensed by a device which has a cylindrical upper part (28) to store the preparation. This upper part has an attached floor (26) with openings through which the preparation falls on to rotatable base (24) which is mounted on a support (22). The base (24) can be rotated through a limited angle relative to the upper part (28) and the support (22). This movement shuts off the flow from the upper part (28) and allows the material in the base to be discharged through openings in the support (22). USE - Dispensing cosmetic preparations.
