The kerbstone (1) is for the edges of pavements and the like. It has an additional top part (2) to increase its height and project above the adjoining road surfaces. The addition (2) is pref. in one piece with kerbstone. The rectangular lower portion of the kerbstone is buried in the road material. The additional top part has a sloping front surface which is kept free of road material, while the rear side is buried in paving material right up to the top. USE/ADVANTAGE - The added height of the kerb prevents road vehicles from being driven on to pavements or other areas prohibited to them.
