The cross threaded spindle converts a rotary movement into a reciprocating movement, and has a cylindrical shaft with left and right hand pitched grooves connected by loops at the ends of the strokes. One or more carriers (1) fit into the grooves. The outer surface of the prefabricated sleeves (3, 4) have sections of cross threading which are positioned at an angle to the end or deflector sleeves (5) secured against axial movement on the one shaft (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - Conversion of rotary to reciprocating motion. The strokes are easily altered.
