Prodn. of organic solns. of nitrile rubber from aq. dispersions - using chlorobenzene-butanone mixt. as solvent to reduce amt. of electrolyte required for de-stabilisation of dispersion
摘要
In the prodn. of organic solvent solns. of nitrile rubber from aq. dispersions of the rubber by adding solvent to the dispersion, then addn. of a destabilising electrolyte and sepn. off of obtd. organic phase, the amt. of electrolyte required for destabilisation is reduced by using as organic solvent chlorobenzene alone or a 70-99/1-30 (pts.wt.) chlorobenzene/ butanone mixt.. USE/ADVANTAGE - Organic solvent solns. are used in the hydrogenation of (emulsion polymerised) nitrile rubber to give oil-resistant prods. with good heat- and oxidn.-stability. The amt. of electrolyte can be reduced from 3.04 pts. - 1.7 pts. (for CaCl2) or from 20.8 pts. - 8.9 pts. (for NaCl).
