PURPOSE:To improve the diagnostic performance by using a signal summing digital picture signals read from plural storage phosphor sheets as density information, adding a difference signal to the density information as coloring information and displaying both sets of the information overlappingly. CONSTITUTION:An X-ray tomograph image of an object 1 is stored on a 1st storage phosphor sheet A, storage sheets A, B are replaced quickly in a short time and the tube voltage of an X-ray source 3 is varied to store an X-ray picture of the object 1 whose transmission X-ray energy differs to the storage phosphor sheet B. The position of the object 1 is in the storage phosphor sheet A the same as that of the storage phosphor sheet B. Then the storage phosphor sheets A, B are overlapped, and a filter F absorbing part of the radiant ray energy is interposed between the sheets and an X rays 2 transmitted through the object 1 radiates while the filter F absorbing part of the radiant ray energy interposed inbetween. Thus, a subtraction picture desired to be observed is observed as a color image by using the original picture as a background and the diagnostic performance is enhanced. |
