PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a poor paper-gripping or a paper-dropping phenomenon, by a method wherein a gripper bar and an end part of a delivery cylinder are provided with hook parts which engage each other by moving closer through turning of a recess cam and engaging the gripper bar, and they are caused to engage each other at a time when a paper is shifted for gripping form one side to the other to regulate the bending of the gripper bar. CONSTITUTION:Centrifugal force is exerted on a gripper device 19, consisting of means including a gripper bar 20 and a gripper 22, resulting from the shift of its rectilinear motion to a circular motion, and is brought to the maximum at a spot in the proximity of a grip shifting point. A hook guide 37 follows said movement to move to a hook 34 side, and they turn monolithically in a condition to engage each other. This prevents the gripper bar 20 from being thrown out of the peripheral surface of a delivery cylinder 26, resultantly, performs a perfect circular motion, and prevents upsetting of a relative position between a gripper 9 and the gripper 22 to perform a reliable operation to shift a gripping from one side to the other. |
