The connection piece has a cylindrical body (2) consisting of thermoplastic material, in which a resistance heating wire (4) is inserted internally. An opening (20) can be expanded to the diameter of a pipeline so that the connection piece can be placed radially onto the pipeline. Once it is placed on, the connection piece is welded to the pipe by heating the resistance heating wire (4). The connection piece is especially suitable for producing a fixed-point mounting, a pipe clamp being inserted into a circumferential depression of the body (2). <IMAGE> |
