PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in plasticizer resistance by forming a thermal color forming layer on the copolymer layer consisting of bits (3-allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) sulfone and meleic anhydride provided on a support. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution containing a filler, bis (3-allyl-4- hydroxyphenyl) sulfone and a maleic anhydride-containing polymer as main components is applied to a support such as paper or synthetic paper and dried to form an undercoat layer. Subsequently, an aqueous solution based on a leuco dye, a coupler and a binder is applied to the undercoat layer and dried to form a thermal color forming layer to obtain a thermal recording material. The pref. constents of the leuco dye, coupler and binder in the thermal color forming layer are respectively about 2 - 30 wt.%, about 10 - 80 wt.% and about 1 - 20 wt. % and the adhesion amount of the formed thermal color forming layer is pref. about 2 - 10 g/m<2>. |
