PURPOSE:To obtain a composition suitable for wire, cable, etc., having excellent flame retardance, mechanical characteristics and processing properties by blending a polyolefin resin with specific amounts of an inorganic flame-retardant and a powdery boron polymer. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. polyolefin resin (e.g. polyethylene) is blended with 50-200 pts.wt., preferably 70-130 pts.wt. inorganic flame-retardant (e.g. aluminum hydroxide or clay) and 1-10 pts.wt. powdery boron polymer. |
