A failure indicating rupture disk assembly comprises a rupture disk (22) mounted between first and second support members (12, 14). A fluid passageway (28) is formed between the interior and exterior of the second support member (14) and includes an apparatus (30) for sensing fluid pressure when the disk (22) has burst. This apparatus is provided with an indicator pin (32) which is moved by a piston in the apparatus when pressurized fluid is present in the passageway (28), the pin (32) then giving a visual indication of the existence of this pressurized fluid. An exhaust port (34) allows the fluid to escape after the piston has moved past the port.
