PURPOSE:To impart antimicrobial and deodorant effects with high safety by adding a specific amount of an aminoglycoside antimicrobial substance together with a detergent to a washing basket of a household washing machine or to rinsing liquids during rinsing and treating a textile product. CONSTITUTION:An antimicrobial and deodorant processing agent containing a compound containing an aminoglycoside antimicrobial substance, especially a compound containing deoxystreptamine, e.g. kanamycin, together with a detergent, is added in a concentration within the range of 0.001-1% to a washing basket of a household washing machine or to rinsing liquid in a stage of rinsing after washing. Alternately, a household textile product, such as cotton or mixed spun fabric thereof is treated by spraying the aforementioned agent, etc., to impart high antimicrobial effects excellent in safety and thermal stability. |
