PURPOSE:To efficiently form a recording image of high resolution by bringing a control electrode to low voltage driving control in accordance with recording information, in a state that a high voltage is applied to an electrode opposed part. CONSTITUTION:A toner carrying body 3 holds a toner (t) on the surface, and carries it along a prescribed path. Also, a spiral electrode body is provided so as to be rotatable on the reverse side against the toner holding surface of a carrying body 3, a linear electrode is laid spirally on the peripheral surface, and also, a high voltage of the same polarity as the electrification polarity of the toner is applied to an electrode opposed part F. On the side of a path for carrying the toner, a control electrode 4 provided on the spiral electrode body and the toner holding surface, a cylindrical electrode 8 is provided so as to be rotatable by allowing it to oppose the spiral electrode body. In such a state, in accordance with input recording information, a pulse power source 5 applies a fall pulse and a rise pulse to the electrode 4 in the case the electrification polarity of the toner (t) is negative, and in the case it is positive, respectively. Subsequently, the toner on the carrying body 3 is transferred to the electrode 8, and a recording image is formed, and transferred to paper P. In such a way, the recording image of high resolution can be formed efficiently. |
