发明名称 OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce an optical information recording medium at low cost while maintaining high sensitivity and high C/N of the medium in which a recording layer is formed directly on a substrate or with an intermediate layer interposed, and further if required, a protective layer is provided, by constituting the recording layer of org. dyes and monodispersion of particles. CONSTITUTION:A coating material containing an org. dye 1 and monodispersion of particles 2 is applied as the dispersion state on the substrate to form the recording layer. The org. dye used is chroconium-type dye, azulene-type dye, triphenothiazine compd., etc. The monodispersion of particles 2 can be obtained by using polyurethane or polymers of 5 - 50nm particle size comprising vinyl monomers or acryl monomers. On recording, the recording layer is irradiated with laser light according to the data to be recorded, so that the irradiated part is heated to higher temp. than the melting point of the org. dye and monodispersion particles. Both of the dye and particles in the irradiated part are molten, mixed and then solidified to form a uniform dispersion layer 3. Thus, the spectroscopic property of the irradiated part is changed, namely data is recorded, and the data is read out by using laser light for reproduction and detecting the reflected light.
