NEW MATERIAL:A peptide compound (salt) of the formula (A is D-Val or D- allo-gle; R<1> is H or amino-protecting group; R<2> is H or carboxy-protecting group). USE:A therapeutic agent for hypertension, cerebral hemorrhage, asthma, etc. PREPARATION:For example, Streptomyces 7338 strain (FERM BP-2500) belonging to the genus Streptomyces is cultured in a medium, filtered with diatomaceous earth and subsequently extracted with acetone. The extract is diluted with water, passed through an active carbon column and eluted with an 80% aqueous acetone solution containing 0.2% ammonia. The elution solution is adjusted to a pH of 2.0 with 6N hydrochloric acid, extracted with an acetate ester, concentrated in vacuo and subsequently purified by a column chromatography to provide the compound of formula, WS 7338 substance. |
