PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition, capable of softening a textile without causing a re-sticking problem to the textile to be washed especially in rinsing stage, comprising a polysiloxane treating agent and a water-soluble nonionic cellulose ether having a specific HLB and a gel point. CONSTITUTION: (A) A polysiloxane textile treating agent (for example: a 1-4C polyalkyl/aryl/alkoxysiloxane) and (B) a nonionic cellulose ether having 3.0-4.3 HLB and <58 deg.C gel point and having substituents such as a 2-3C alkyl and a monovalent or polyvalent hydroxyalkyl, in particular, an alkyl-hydroxyalkyl- cellulose ether, are blended by the weight ratio of 0.05:1-3:1 to obtain the objective composition containing 0.1-3 wt.% polysiloxane. This composition does not stick again to the synthetic fiber textile to be washed in the rinsing stage, softens especially natural fibers and gives good balance of softness and washing power to mixed-spun fiber wash. |
