DISPLAY PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR TEXT SCREEN

PURPOSE:To attain the batch correction of display of all HELP screens just with the change of the value related to a major area variable name designating a special character by switching the special character included in a character string to be read out and the part of the major area variable name to the major area variable value to display them on a CRT. CONSTITUTION:A HELP screen display file read by a reading part 10 is sent to a display part 11 and displayed on a CRT 3. Then a detecting part 12 extracts a major area variable name out of a sentence stored in a file, and a converting part 13 converts the extracted variable name. Furthermore the part 12 detects the type of a special character and switches a function which gives a treatment to the concrete value of a major area variable in accordance with the type of the special character. The part 13 sends the output of the function to the part 11 to display it on the CRT 3. Thus it is possible to switch the special character and the major area variable name to the major area variable value and to display them when each HELP screen display file of a text part 2 is read out just by rewriting a single area of the value of the major area variable name designated previously.
