PURPOSE:To improve efficiency for retrieval by inputting a retrieval condition in the form of a keyword arbitrarily coupling the operators of AND, OR and NOT for the keyword, and executing a document accuracy calculation processing to this retrieval condition so as to apply the large value of document accuracy for a suitable document. CONSTITUTION:The retrieval condition is inputted in the form of the keyword arbitrarily coupling the operators of the AND, OR and NOT for the keyword, and according to a prescribed calculation formula, the document accuracy calculation processing is executed to this retrieval condition so as to apply the large value of document accuracy to the suitable document. Thus, since the arbitrarily coupling formula of the operators can be accepted in addition to the document accuracy and a basic vague retrieval effect using keyword connection, when a user designates the object of retrieval, the fine condition designation such as 'document with no keyword A' or 'document with both keywords A and B', etc., can be executed and the efficient retrieval can be executed.
