PURPOSE:To prevent dust or mist, which comes from motor bearings, from dispersing by providing enclosures surrounding the thrust bearing or radial bearing of a spindle motor and by applying an adhesive to the inner surfaces of the enclosures. CONSTITUTION:Both radial bearing sleeve 7 rotator and thrust color 8 rotator facing the internal surfaces 13, 14 of enclosures 11, 12 screwed (not illustrated) on a static side motor case 1 are provided with vanes 15 and 16, respectively. Therefore, dust coming from radial bearing surface 9 and thrust bearing surface 10 comes in contact with the internal surfaces 13, 14 of the enclosures to be caught by an adhesive, before it disperses to the outside of the enclosures, by the action of centrifugal forces applied in the directions of the arrows 17, 18 and the stirring effect of air generated by respective vanes. Thus, it is possible to prevent dust or mist, which comes from thrust bearing and radial bearing, from dispersing to the outside of a motor. |
