PURPOSE:To enhance the maneuvering stability, driving comfortableness, and resistance against eccentric wear of a tire including a belt layer and a band layer, by forming the belt layer from two or more plys, and forming each belt ply in three-piece constitution divided in the position of band layer. CONSTITUTION:A belt layer 7 consists of No.1 belt ply B1 and No.2 belt ply B2 arranged in the sequence as named from the carcass 6 outward in the radial direction. The No.1 belt ply B1 is divided in three pieces BA-BC with the equator C pinched having a gap (g) on its both sides as dimensioning between 0.5 and 4mm. The belt ply BB is distributed to the left and right centering on the equator, and a band layer 9 is arranged on the outside of the gap (g) between the ply pieces BA, BC. This band layer 9 is formed from organic fiber cords in parallel with the equator. This enhances the maneuvering stability, driving comfortableness, and the resistance against eccentric wear. |
