摘要 PURPOSE:To heighten the hardness of only the surface layer of a foam-molded body with a single material and mold by a method wherein foaming mold, at a set position in which movable cores are provided so as to inwardly displace the predetermined portion of uncured foam with the movable cores at curing process. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a urethane seat pad having elevated hardness only at both side surface layer parts, at a mold to be used, parts, which form both the side faces of the urethane seat pad, of a bottom force 1 consists of movable cores 2, which are slid by means of cylinders 3 fixed to the bottom force 1 so as to retreat from or to bring back to their original forming positions A. At the pouring of urethane stock from a nozzle in the bottom force, the movable cores 2 are at their retreated positions and the mold is in the state larger than the shape of a product. Next, the bottom force is covered by a top force 5. After the finish of expansion and at the entering in the curing process, the movable cores 2 are brought back to their original forming positions. As a result, bubbles only in or near the portion displaced by the shifting of the cores 2 of a foam-molded body are crushed, resulting in producing high density layers 7a on both sides of the foam-molded body 6a.
