<p>PURPOSE:To remove securely untransferred toner which remains on the surface of a photosensitive body by pressing the front edge of a cleaning blade against the surface of a photosensitive body under constant pressure and at a constant angle all the time. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning blade 4 which removes the untransferred toner remaining on the surface of the beltlike photosensitive body 2 is made of an elastic body in a plate shape and a rotating shaft 5 is energized clockwise by an energizing means to press the front edge against the surface of the photosensitive body 1 from below the photosensitive body 2. Further, a roll 7 is supported rotatably on a bearing member 8 above the photosensitive body 2 and opposite the cleaning blade 4 across the photosensitive body 2. The bearing member 8 is energized downward by a compression spring 9 with force F stronger than the press-contacting force of the cleaning blade 4. The bearing member 8 is held by a stopper 8a so that the vertical distance l between the abutting part of the stopper 8a and the center of the rotating shaft 5 is equal to a preset value; and the distance l is controlled to hold invariably constant position relation among the cleaning blade 4, photosensitive body 2, and roll 7.</p> |
