This invention concerns a stabilizer for the coupling arms of a tractor. When a work machine coupled to a tractor is subjected to side loading, it sways, and one coupling arm 2 rises higher than the other. Such an asymmetrical load imposes a strain on the securing members of the coupling arms. The coupling arms 2 can be kept immovable in relation to the tractor if a crossbar 5 is placed over them, which is pressed against the rear wheels 1 of the tractor. <IMAGE>
