PURPOSE: To speed up insertion work continuously and achieve a good result of the insertion by providing plural filling stations in a rotating turret, wherein cathode material is inserted with a specific device into a battery case with a specific posture. CONSTITUTION: Cathode material 40 is inserted into a cylindrical battery case 30 with an opening only at one end and intermediate composite is produced during the battery manufacturing process. For insertion work, cathode material 40 is filled through core pin and a shoulder punch 70 in the inner surface of the battery case 30 with an open end at lower side, so that proper amount is inserted and electrical contact is in good condition. Plural filling stations 20 are arranged on the same circumference of a rotating turret 88, and along with its revolution the battery case 30 is distributed automatically and at a high speed to each filling station 20 one by one via a new feeding device 120 and the cathode material 40 is inserted. |
