<p>Compositions of matter serving as topical ointment vehicles and comprising a glyceryl acetate, preferably triacetin, and an oleaginous material that can be combined with a medicament, preferably a corticosteriod, are described. The glyceryl acetate component functions as a solvent for the medicament. Additionally, methods of use for treating skin disorders comprising the topical application of a therapeutically effective amount of a medicament in a composition of the invention are detailed.</p> |
