PURPOSE:To simplify the hardware constitution and to improve the reliability using an optical branch synthesizing circuit for each terminal equipment, and adopting optical communication for the transmission and reception of a signal between an optical fiber transmission system and terminal equipments. CONSTITUTION:A light passes through terminals 71, 72 in 2-way and a light passes among terminals 71, 75, 76 and between the terminal 72 and the terminals 75, 76. When an optical receiver 12 is placed to the terminal 75 and an optical transmitter 11 is placed to the terminal 76, and a light inputted to any of the terminals 71, 72 passes through the terminal 75, enters the optical receiver 12 and an optical signal from the optical transmitter 11 is outputted to both of the terminals 71, 72. In such a case, optical branch synthesis circuits 17 connecting to both ends of the optical fiber being a loop and to optical transmitters and optical receivers, optical branch synthesis circuits 15 and optical branch synthesis circuits 16 are provided. Thus, the hardware constitution is simplified and the reliability is improved. |
