PURPOSE:To effectively recover color toner stuck to the photosensitive body to a cleaning device by forming a repulsing magnetic field between the photosensitive body and the developing device which separates the intruded toner at the time of toner separation. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic field forming means 32 and 32' which form the repulsing magnetic field between the photosensitive body 1 and the developing devices 3 and 5 which separate the intruded toner at the time of toner separation are provided. Therefore, at the time of toner separation, the repulsing magnetic field is formed between the developing roll and the photosensitive body 1, and the developer containing unseparated toner which should be contained in developing devices 3 and 5 are restrained by the developing roll. Thus, the first toner mixed into a second developing device 5 can be effectively recovered, transferring of the second toner to the photosensitive body 1 can be kept down to the minimum at the time of separating and recovering, and the second toner is not wasted. |
