<p>PURPOSE:To enable the automatic discrimination whether a mounted P-ROM is an EEP-ROM, or an EP-ROM by discriminating whether the pattern of readouted data coincides with the specific data pattern or not. CONSTITUTION:The data of the specific addresses (A# - A+n#) of the mounted program P-ROM 1 are readouted and saved to a RAM 18. Then, the data are set to a writing mode of EEP-ROM, the specific data pattern is written to the specific address of P-ROM 1. And again the data are set to the shared readout mode and the data of the specific address of the P-ROM 1 are readouted, the pattern is compared with the writing data i.e. the specific data pattern, when it coincides the pattern is judged that the P-ROM 1 is EEP-ROM, and set to the writing mode of EEP-ROM, and the saved data are written and returned to the specific address of the EEP-ROM. If the pattern is not coincident, it is judged that the P-ROM 1 is EP-ROM, the pattern is set to the writing mode of EP-ROM. In such a manner, the classification of the mounted P-ROM 1 is discriminated.</p> |
