This invention relates to a control method at the time of occurrence of abnormality in a car controller which can restart the car relying on a self-restoring function without conducting complicated operations as required in a prior art technique if abnormality is not much critical. This control method comprises the steps of detecting any abnormal condition in a control system of a car, stopping the function of that abnormal system when the abnormal condition is detected, judging whether or not the car returns to a normal safe state by its self-restoring function or by the operation of a driver, continuing the stop of the operation of the abnormal system when the judgement proves no and restarting the abnormal system when the judgement proves yes. |
