PURPOSE: To verify and confirm the functions of an oxygen sensor in the form of a package with the minimum dimensions by communicating with the surrounding atmosphere and supplying a concentrated oxygen air by the energization and deenergization of a solenoid. CONSTITUTION: An oxygen sensor 10 is retained at the recessed end part of the body part 13 of a body member 11 by a valve seat part 19. Then, a spool valve 20 is provided slidably into a body part 12 of the member 11 and is energized so that a valve surface 21 is closed down to the part 19 by a compression spring 23. A solenoid 27 is housed in the part 12 that is aligned in the axial direction for the valve 20, and a core member 28 is connected into and projects from a recessed edge part 25 of the valve 20. Then, when oxygen is monitored, the solenoid 27 is energized, the member 28 presses the operation of the spring 23 and is pulled in, connection to ambient atmosphere is made, and the oxygen concentration of the ambient air is detected by he sensor 20, thus deenergizing the solenoid 27 and closing a valve surface 21 with the part 19 by the spring 23, and releasing a supply pipeline connector 32. |
