<p>The orientatable tool support (15) comprises a supporting arm (17) having a tang for coupling to the loading arm (12) of a railroad maintenance vehicle. A turret (20) is provided at the end of the supporting arm (17) and a fork-like element (22) is articulated to the turret (20). The fork-like element (22) bears the shears (14) or other tool, and is rotatable about two mutually orthogonal axes by means of fluid-operated jacks (23, 24). The arm (17) is formed by two portions (17a, 17b), which are interconnected by a joint (25) and rotatable with respect to each other about the longitudinal axis of the supporting arm (17) upon actuation of a third fluid-operated jack (28).</p> |
