PURPOSE:To enhance the degree of freedom at the time of mounting by demarcating the open air communicating space communicating with the open air through a ventilation port and an electrolyte receiving space having an electrolyte received therein by an air permeable membrane. CONSTITUTION:This sensor is constituted of a container 1 in which an electrolyte is received and the acting electrode 4 and opposed electrode 5 provided therein in opposed relationship. The open air communicating space 16 communicating with the open air through the ventilation hole 15 provided to the container 1 is provided in the container 1 along the inner periphery thereof. This space and an electrolyte receiving space 11 having an electrolyte received therein are demarcated by an air permeable membrane 17. By this constitution, in such a case that the circumferential temp. rises or the pressure in the air layer in the container 1 rises as compared with the atmospheric pressure, air is discharged to the open air from the space 11 through the membrane 17 and the pressure of the air layer is lowered to prevent the leakage of the electrolyte. Even when evaporated gas is discharged to the space 16 from the electrolyte through the membrane 17 and the ventilation hole 15, the cross-sectional area of the membrane 17 is small and evaporation discharge quantity is little and the fluctuation of the concn. of the electrolyte is reduced. |
