PURPOSE: To manufacture a thermoplastic resin composition containing ceramic powder modified by an oxidic sinter additive by one treatment by melting a thermoplastic resin, mixing with ceramic powder suspension in an organic solvent containing hydrolyzable precursor compound of the additive, removing solvent and volatile hydrolytic product, and compression extruding solvent. CONSTITUTION: A solvent polymer of a thermoplastic resin is mixed with an organic solvent suspension of ceramic powder in a second treating zone. This suspension is hydrolyzed at precursor compound in next mixing zone dissolving and containing the hydrolyzable precursor compound of the oxidic sinter additive. The solvent and alcohol generated by the hydrolysis are transpired from one or a plurality of degassing holes under reduced pressure, compressed, die extruded and cooled in next compression zone, then cut to granulates. As the additive, particularly aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, yttrium oxide or silicon dioxide is suitably used. Extremely fine sinter additive is contained in a simple treatment with a high efficiency. A non-aggregated ceramic injection molding composition is obtained. |
