PURPOSE:To easily edit the constitutional information by unifying a frame and a pattern which are turned into the hierarchical structures and updating the hierarchical frame. CONSTITUTION:A unifying means 103 unifies a frame (f) and a pattern (p) to a frame fepsilonF and a pattern pepsilonP and produces the frame gepsilonF. The frame (g) is minimized, i.e., <s, w> g is obtained with <s, rt. angle>epsilonp (<s, w>epsilonf defined) and <s, h>epsilong is obtained with <s, q>epsilonp(qepsilonP) (frame h produced recurrently by the means 103 with unification from i and q with <s, i> f). An editing control means 105 processes an editing instruction inputted via an input/output means 104. Thus it is possible to easily perform an editing job converting the constitutional components.
