PURPOSE:To conduct an optimum head drive in accordance with the ink temperature by a method wherein a temperature detection means is disposed in the vicinity of a nozzle part of a substrate in contact with the ink jet substrate. CONSTITUTION:A thermister 4 detects the temperature of an ink in the vicinity of a nozzle part 1 through a thin plate 2B. A drive voltage controller 5 actuated in accordance with the output of the thermister 4 can apply an optimum drive voltage to a piezoelectric element 10 in accordance with the temperature of the ink in the vicinity of the nozzle part. |
