The refrigerator equips a voice information transmitter connected to various sensors like a gas and fire detectors. The transmitter includes a first voice synthesizer (11) informing the sensor states, and a second voice synthesizer (12) informing the user message which is recordable or erasable. The voice informations in the first synthesizer are masked on the custom IC so that the contents are not erased in case of the power failure. The method includes a record routine, and a reproduction routine.
